Hi There,

My name is Jon Parton and I'm a Student civil engineer being sponsored by Laing O'Rourke (Lucky me!!).

I'm setting up this blog just as somewhere I can write about some of the great things I have the privilege of experiencing, helping to organise or things I'm just generally fascinated by. Some where indeed to just send things out to the void via!

Talking of things I help to organise - Have a peak at that slideshow to the right of one of the great things we ran as EWB Cardiff (EWB Stands for Engineers Without Borders, if you've never heard of them take a wonder..EWB UK ) with the help of RedR. It was a course on Humanitarian aid, the realities of it and a bit of an explanation as to the complexities too! Was a brilliant hands on weekend with allot of good active stuff! Worth a butchers at the last day pictured in those photo's when we did a simulated scenario based on the Pakistan earthquake!

Right let's see how active I can be with this or if this will be the first of very few posts........ Wish me luck!
